The idea for Phoenix Salon started when the owners, Whitney and Geoff both found themselves without a job when the company they worked for went under due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lara and Geoff met while at the Paul Mitchell Cosmotology school in Chicago and found themselves working together at the same salon 12 years after graduating. Once they learned that the salon they worked at would be no more, they decided to open one themselves. The name for the salon felt like a good fit for both the state of the world as well as their own lives. A Phoenix isn't only a symbol of survival and renewal, but also of unsurpassed excellence and beauty - elements that we strive to bring to every patron who comes to Phoenix Salon.
